What does Bessie’s Creative Sewing offer? We’re a bridal and formalwear boutique in Beloit, Wisconsin, serving the community for over 40 years. We offer wedding, prom, homecoming, and special occasion dresses and suits — available online and in-store — along with professional alterations, tailoring, and custom sewing services.

Orders & Shipping
Do you ship within the United States? Yes, we currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is not available at this time.
How much does shipping cost? A flat rate of $7.99 applies to standard shipping on eligible orders within the U.S.
How long does order processing take? Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment is received and verified. Orders are processed Monday through Saturday and are not processed on Sundays or U.S. public holidays.
How long does shipping take? Once shipped, most orders arrive within 5–7 business days. In total, you can expect delivery in approximately 6–10 business days from the date your order is placed. Delivery times may vary based on destination, carrier operations, weather, and seasonal demand — dates are estimates and not guaranteed.
How can I track my order? Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information sent to the email address used at checkout.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and payments through Stripe, our secure payment processor.
Is my payment information secure? Yes. Our website uses SSL encryption, and payments are processed through Stripe using industry-standard, PCI-compliant security measures. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy for dresses? Ready-to-wear dresses and other in-stock items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused, unworn, and in original condition with tags attached. See our full Returns & Refunds Policy for details.
Are alterations or custom-made items eligible for return? No. Alterations, tailoring, and custom sewing services are made to your individual measurements and are generally final sale, unless there is a verified defect or error on our part.
Who pays for return shipping? Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item received is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
Do you offer exchanges? Yes, exchanges may be available for eligible ready-to-wear items, subject to availability. Contact us before returning an item to arrange an exchange.
My order arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect — what should I do? Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if possible. We’ll review the claim and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund.
